WASHINGTON DC NEWBORN AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

 

Amanda Reynolds is a portrait and wedding photographer, living in Washington DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Mr. Charles Bingley. She grew up on Sanibel Island, attended Wake Forest University, received her Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University, and studied at the London School of Photography.

Working with film and digital cameras, Amanda sets even the most camera-shy subjects instantly at ease, resulting in enduring, authentic and artful photographs she revels in seeing framed in her clients’ homes.

Intentionally capturing the intimate and in-between, Amanda’s photographs are akin to pressing pause on life’s fleeting moments, and looking at her photographs reminds us how it felt, not just how it looked

Photography is part of my creative expression, and it fuels by passion. Some other parts of me you might want to know:

  • my favorite book is pride and prejudice

  • I Watch The Philadelphia story every year

  • my hobbies are reading and needlepoint

  • I studied french for 7 years but speak it poorly

  • I love live music, especially at the 9:30 club

  • rumor has it my house was a speakeasy during prohibition

  • i’ve been a golden girl in training since I was born
